MESSAGES FROM ANIMATION AND GAME ARTS

Animation and Game Arts (AGA) is a challenging medium on its own, but to face the circumstances that we find ourselves in makes it exponentially more challenging. The fact that Moore’s students, in particular the AGA seniors, have continued to create and work even harder to complete their senior thesis projects is admirable. One of the simple things I miss about being on campus with the seniors is the laughs we have shared. From funny drawings on the whiteboard of Sarah Peter's room 407 to the impromptu discussions of anime and games during our out-of-class time in the dining hall.

I am looking forward to the chance of seeing this cohort face-to-face again to congratulate them on their successes and to share a few more laughs. I think the students, faculty, and staff have a newfound appreciation for the on-campus learning environment, considering the circumstances. I wish all the best to the graduating class of 2020, and I know that the AGA graduates are going to go far and do great things!

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, ANIMATION & GAME ARTS

Congratulations to the class of 2020! The Animation and Game Arts students have been working really hard over the last year to create their thesis projects. I had the pleasure of teaching the first part of the senior studio class in the fall of 2019. This is the time for students to experiment, research, and make mistakes. It takes a lot of vulnerability and maturity to receive critique on projects that are so personal and close to your hearts. I appreciate the opportunity to challenge the students and I am really impressed with the work they produced as a result of our ongoing conversations. The projects range from incredibly imaginative futuristic narratives to deeply personal experiences. I hope you all enjoy!
