CURATORIAL STUDIES

The job of a curator involves creating a story through multitasking, attention to detail, organization, and the vision to join all the parts in a meaningful way. This major introduces students to the creative, educational, and professional aspects of what curators do, including writing, research, and collaborating—while cultivating their own studio practice. They visit and explore a variety of collections and exhibitions and study the layered experience of viewing, as well as examine the theories and practice involved in conceiving, creating and designing exhibitions, collections, and archives.
