MESSAGE FROM MOORE'S PRESIDENT, CECELIA FITZGIBBON
I continue to be amazed at the resilience the Moore community has shown in the face of this global crisis. Their full participation in the College’s Thesis Exhibition is evidence of this resilience—in fact, it is a triumph. In under two months’ time, our Gallery and Communications staff members have worked together to provide an entirely new platform through which our talented students can share their work. The site gives the opportunity for Moore artists and designers to connect with the world in a new way, allowing our community to extend its influence to once unreachable distances as well as to those who live and work near Moore. Meanwhile, our graduating students have completed their theses remotely, under extraordinary conditions, and have maintained a quality of work of which they should be tremendously proud. We certainly are.
I invite you to use this space to congratulate our remarkably gifted students; thank our staff for their fastidious work; and spread support to our incredible community as we explore new opportunities to celebrate these students’ accomplishments. Please be an active contributor to the yearbook function by leaving your well wishes and messages to The Class of 2020 in the comments section below. With this safe, social distancing-friendly alternative to our usual, in-person annual Senior Show and Graduate Thesis Exhibition, we are able to share the culminating work of our artists, educators, curators, and designers with you. We invite you to delve into the individual pages of each student, getting to know them and spending time with their work again and again.
