MESSAGE FROM JERRY KABA, ADJUNCT PROFESSOR, FINE ARTS

Senior year of the BFA program at Moore College of Art and Design is a very challenging time in a student’s career.  During this year, with the support of myself and a group of faculty advisors, students use the tools they have acquired in their time at Moore to create a cohesive body of work in conjunction with a detailed written thesis. Over the past year, these students have spent countless hours in the studios at Moore experimenting and developing their ideas, while having them challenged in group critiques. One of the unique characteristics you will see in the work here is the vast variety of techniques and concepts.  At Moore, students are given the freedom and safe space to explore multitudes of media and topics that they are passionate about.  I feel this freedom creates unique interdisciplinary results that challenge traditional materials and concepts, leading to new, exciting artistic expression.
